Day 21 ~ The Finale!

Today's Thoughts:  Homestretch here.  I truly can't believe that I have stayed on my diet... so I have had a little bit bigger of helping than I should, but I must be doing something right!

Day 20 Weight:               168.9 lbs.   
Day 21 Weight:               168.0 lbs.   
Weight Lost:                     -0.9  lbs. 
Weight Lost To Date:       8.3 lbs.
Weight Left to Loose:      7.3 lbs.

Wii Fit Age:  --  Quick test done today... a little pressed for time
Today's Exercise:  2.5 hours
My workout included: Walking, in the sand.
Burned 700 calories - the equivalent of more or less 12 onion rings (410 calories) and 1/2 cup of salsa and 2oz of tortilla chips (310 calories).  The calories burned were calories burned with activity outside of wii recorded in my Activity Log.
Water Intake:  4 - 16oz bottles of water 

Breakfast:  Banana  
Snack:  - - 
Lunch:  Anticuchos... a Peruvian dish (Nummy, not as good as I make it- but it was good!)
Snack:   - -
Dinner:  Home fries, Bar-be-qued Tri Tip, Spinach salad... all from Red's in Simi Valley!!  It was delicious Jeannie!!

Today's Summary: Lost .9 of a pound.  YES!!

Tomorrow Goal's:  I will continue to walk, walk, and walk another three miles or more ...  I wish we could take our paradise with us!

Day 19 ~ My Power Days in Paradise

Today's Thoughts:  I feel as if I can walk miles, upon miles!  What is it about Malibu that does this? 

Day 18 Weight:               168.9 lbs.   
Day 19 Weight:               168.9 lbs.   
Weight Lost:                     -0.0  lbs. 
Weight Lost To Date:       7.4 lbs.
Weight Left to Loose:      8.2 lbs.

Today's Summary: Still at a standstill... however, at least I continue to keep it off.

Tomorrow Goal's:  Walk, walk, and walk another three miles or more ...  We are enjoying power-walking in our paradise!

Day 17 ~ Ocean + Sunshine = Happy Way to Exercise!

Today's Thoughts:  I am convinced that the ocean air, combined with beautiful sunshine and a beautiful scenery can motivate a person all on it's own, and makes exercising seem effortless! 

Day 16 Weight:               169.3 lbs.   
Day 17 Weight:               168.9 lbs.   
Weight Lost:                     -0.3  lbs. 
Weight Lost To Date:       7.4 lbs.
Weight Left to Loose:      8.2 lbs.


Wii Fit Age:  41  (I'll take it!)
Today's Exercise:  2.5 hours

Lunch:  3/4 cup of spaghetti with meat sauce and a Persian tomato salad (late lunch)  
Snack:   - -
Dinner:  1/2 cup Persian rice, Chicken with vegetables- like a stew (also Persian).  One Word... Delicious!

Today's Summary: Loosing .4 pounds is better that nothing... If anything it keeps a spring in my step. It makes it for a positive day!  Including my three mile walk that I had set as a goal yesterday.!!  YES!!

Tomorrow Goal's:  To walk another three miles.  I wish I could get back on my wii (I don't want to completely take over the family tv) ... but I am honestly enjoying doing a more natural exercise and enjoying and soaking in my paradise!

Health Tip of the Day:  Even if your family is forcing you to eat a ton of food... eat very, very, very slowly... you will get full fast and eat half as much, and your family will get tired of waiting for you!  LOL!

Day 14 ~ Will Power vs. Fast Food... Will Power Will Prevail!

Today's Thoughts:  My mood and motivation was uplifted today as I discovered I had finally lost some weight... it was enough to put a little spring into my step and motivate the juices again!  Why is it that we allow to be controlled by numbers on a scale!

Day 13 Weight:           173.9 lbs.   
Day 14 Weight:           172.1 lbs.   
Weight Lost:                 -1.8  lbs. 
Weight Lost To Date:      4.3 lbs.
Weight Left to Loose:    11.4 lbs.


Wii Fit Age:  61 (ok... the stillness test... really?!)
Today's Exercise:  one hour
My workout included: Free Step - 30 mins (2,994 steps),  Free Step - 30 mins (2,996 steps)
Burned 1,316 calories - the equivalent of grilled chicken and blt (500 calories), 1 piece of pineapple cake and 1/2 cup of ice cream (500 calories), 1/2 cup of salsa and 2oz of chips (310 calories)  The calories burned include calories burned with activity outside of wii recorded in my Activity Log.
Water Intake:  4 - 16oz bottles of water 

Note: preparing for a road trip and dieting do not go together... my entire day was turned upside down... so my meals were nonexistent...but I got my workout in!!
Breakfast:  Triple Berry/Banana Smoothie
Snack:  - - 
Lunch:  today is all messed up!  Again?! Had a bunch of errands, and time got away from me. 
Snack:   - -
Dinner:  a pulled pork sandwich with a pickle.

Today's Summary:  Finally!!  I lost nearly two pounds!! I'm back in the right direction!!..  That in itself can either build a person up, or tear them down and make them cry like babies!! 
I will remain strong!  Stay positive... tomorrow is another day and I will continue to work harder!!!  Only difference now will be ... is doing it on the road and while visiting with friends and relatives!! Wish me luck!

Tomorrow Goal's:  Tomorrow should be interesting... This will be where nutrition and dieting skills will come in handy!  Forward! never straight!  

Cooking Tip of the Day:  This is more of a tip on surviving fast food when on a road trip.  Whether you are driving cross country in a Winnebago or in a small Chevy traveling just shy of eight hundred miles... you will inevitably have to stop where there's fast food.  Put on the brakes there sister... for breakfast I am so looking forward to a bowl of oatmeal at McDonald's. How can they possibly mess that up... well I'll let you know.

Health Tip of the Day: When on a road trip be sure to have at least a gallon of water in the vehicle... ideally there should be one gallon per person.    Make sure not to go too overboard on the water... more pit stops.

Day 11 ~ I Will Prevail!

Today's Thoughts:  UGH!! I hate morning appointments!!  They throw off my entire state of being! lol! That, and weighing yourself before you leave and finding out that you GAINED A POUND!!!  It's bad enough having to handle financial family business with a four and a half year old in tow, who's as active as at least two children combined, have a fire drill happen literally two minutes before we finished (that's all it took once we returned), and a 1 pound cloud hovering over your head makes for an adventurous morning.  During all of this, we must have walked for two hours! (what am I saying WE DID!) and ... with each step I took I would repeat... "another pound! this is ridiculous! grumble, grumble, grumble... What have I set myself up for?!!?"  Calley thought I was nuts! 

Once we got home... working out?  forget it!  But the more the afternoon went on, the more a cloud was beginning to develop over my head.  "I can't miss working out" or another phone call would happen, "oh my goodness... I have to work out"... but it wasn't convincing enough... not until hours later "enough is enough, I have to break out a sweat for at least a half hour!"  and finally I did.

Day 10 Weight:          171.1 lbs.   
Day 11 Weight:          172.4 lbs.   
Weight Lost:                +1.3 lbs. 
Weight Lost To Date:      4.0 lbs.
Weight Left to Loose:   11.7 lbs.

Wii Fit Age:  --  I did the quick test this morning, and missed out on the testing.
Today's Exercise:  As mentioned, we walked for two hours this morning and  I worked out for thirty minutes this morning..  
My workout included: Free Step 30 minutes- 2,904 steps
Burned 782 calories - the equivalent of 3 cans of tuna in water (220 calories each)  The calories burned include calories burned with activity outside of wii recorded in my Activity Log.
Water Intake:  4 - 16oz bottles of water 

Breakfast:  Triple Berry-Banana Smoothie
Snack:  -
Lunch:   cup of leak soup
Snack:   -
Dinner:  cup chicken salad and ten whole grain crackers.

Today's Summary:  Gained pound... NOT HAPPY!!!  However, tomorrow is another day and I will continue to work harder!!!

Tomorrow Goal's:  I am going to continue on the path I am on, however my workout will be a little MORE INTENSE!!.  

Cooking Tip of the Day:  Boiling eggs properly begins 24 hours before cooking them, especially if you plan to use them for deviled eggs .

Health Tip of the Day An air purifier may help you and your family if you suffer from asthma or allergy symptoms.
