Day 3 ~ Endorphins.... GIVE ME MORE!!!

The endorphins are starting to work!  I am starting to, no I am feeling great.  It's amazing that that's all it takes...the problem however, is that half the time you are fighting those "little voices" in your head trying to pull you to the couch!  It's not that I was not aware of this... I am.
The problem has been getting the energy and motivation, mentally and physically, to workout that first day.  Then hopefully, you start feeling so good that there is no question about it... I must workout!!

My Cooking & Eating Habits:  My problem is that I love good food; gourmet  food; I love to cook, I must use butter, not margarine, I do not do diet drinks (it's either all or nothing- besides I am not a big soda drinker); sugar- never artificial; we make things from scratch... lemonade included; I only used natural fresh foods, nothing processed or canned... fresh, Fresh, FRESH! foods only!!, I love to eat, and Calley loves to cook...

Now we just have to tweek the way we cook and eat.  All I have to do is just substitute some items for other healthier ones.  Lot's of times I will use lemon or lime, instead of salt.

Goal:  To loose 15 pounds in 21 days
If the contestants on Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition
can be expected to loose anywhere from 90 to 150 pounds in
             a 90-day period... I can do this!

Day 2 Weight :             176.4 lbs.
Day 3 Weight:              173.5 lbs.
Weight Lost:                   -2.9 lbs.
Weight Lost To Date:     2.9 lbs.
Weight Left to Loose:  12.1 lbs.
Wii Fit Age:  51 years old
Today's Exercise:  This morning I worked out for two hours and four minutes of exercise.  Yes I made my daily goal!!  I have also incorporated 2.5 pound weights into my routine and use them whenever possible.
My workout included: Two Person Running (Calley exercises with me), Two Person Island Run, Free Step (boring), Advance Step (nothing like the classes we used to take back in the day, but it will do- and I did it seven times too) Hula Hoop, Super Hula Hoop, Rhythm Boxing, Rhythm Parade, Sedgeway Circuit (this was goofy,) Leg Twists, Snowball Fight, and finished it off with Balance Bridge.
Burned 852 calories - The equivalent of eating a slice 5.5oz. of Cashews
Water Intake:  8 - 16oz bottles of water

Breakfast:  a bowl of Kix
Lunch:  oz piece of chicken (no skin) and a tomato and green onion salad with lime juice.
Dinner:  two small homemade tacos (Thank you Dad, they were delicious) and    a few bites of watermelon and cantaloupe.

Cooking Tip of the Day:  According to the American Heart Association, a smoothie can cover a multitude of needs. Throw a banana (you can keep them in the freezer for weeks) into your blender along with frozen berries, kiwi or whatever fruit is around, some orange or other juice, some fat-free or low-fat yogurt and protein powder. You can get 4–5 servings of fruit in one glass of yummy shake. Try getting your loved one to sip on a smoothie. It’s easy, cool, refreshing and healthy.

Today's Summary:  Woke up sore, believe or not! and tired... but before I could give it a second thought I was working out, and did so for two hours!!  I felt great.  I even felt as if I was standing taller too!!  After dropping off Dean (my husband) at work after lunch, Calley and I took the car and went grocery shopping!!  WE had an awesome time buying healthy foods.  It was quite the learning experience for her too.

Tomorrow's Goal:  To continue on the path I am on, and to increase my workout to two and a half hours.

Health Tip of the Day...
Did you know that doing housework burns off calories?  Well it does!!! And you can record it on your log in wii Fit Plus too!!  wii Fit Plus, encourages additional activity, so much so that they provide a "log" to log it into and they add it to your daily workout too!!  Here's a handy calorie calculator where you even calculate how many calories you burned by simply cooking or even washing a car.

I am not a doctor or a dietitian, and am not promoting for you to follow "my 21-day challenge."  I do however advise you to consult your physician before exercise or dieting.  This is for my own personal gain (or loss) and not affiliated with wii in any way.  wii is not paying me for this.
